What is the main goal for this project?

We want students to help us build a marketing strategy plan to grow and engage our target market: (Canadian streaming video streaming platform) young, tech-savvy users and anyone with digital connectivity.

We’d like to know how we can maximize the use of different channels and get recommendations to improve our messaging.

The main questions we’d like students to help us answer are the following:

  • How do students currently perceive our brand and marketing, based on publicly available information about our company?
  • What channels should we utilize for promotion, including ones we are not currently using?
  • What budget is appropriate for advertising, given our goals?
  • How could our messaging be updated to better explain our value proposition?
  • How to use data-driven and customer-centric marketing strategies that work in the digital age.
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

A report on how people perceive our company's brand and marketing efforts. We would like the report to include what channels we should utilize for promotion, what budget is appropriate for our goals, and how our messaging could be updated to better explain our value proposition.

Students will utilize our database in order to determine the best strategies to promote our streaming platform in Canada

Final deliverables can come in the form of a report and/or presentation.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship and supervision throughout the project.

This will also include meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.

Student will be supported via email, zoom, or phone calls.

The project manager will provide as much support and background information as necessary.

About the company

JAM Vocal Foundation is a Montreal run OSBL serving a diversely linguistic and cultural population. We provides diverse curriculum to prepare, and equip each youth to excel in their artistic field. We use the arts, to motivate and convey positive learning messages, supporting healthy living habits and team work, in ways which evoke and sustain participant interest and involvement.
Our programs vary from Vocal and artist development to improvisation, stage performance, showcase preparation, masterclasses, choral singing, music theory, Image and Branding, studio recording and vocal history.
We are committed to fostering life skills, self-esteem and strengthening interpersonal skills through a variety of youth programs and workshops. Our board, staff and volunteers are dedicated to offering equal opportunity and inclusion to all.
