Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Our team is looking for a social media marketing wizard who can help us drive more traffic for our Boston Pride event THE ROAD OF RAINBOWS. The primary project requirements include:

  • Content Calendar Curation: timely deployment of all our social media content to drive maximum traffic to our site
  • Social Media Management: overseeing different channels that we own and keeping them up-to-date
  • Content Development
  • Social media requirements to increase the number of followers/likes and share
  • Creating engaging content for prominent media websites
  • Working primarily with Instagram (as well as Twitter and Facebook)

This is a great project for students to prove their digital marketing expertise to future employers, as the impact of their work on this project can be easily measured and communicated.

About the company

The mission of Boston Theater Company is to create new work while pushing the boundaries of theatre by exploring new ways to tell stories. We are rooted in the power theater has to unite, uncover and illuminate. We tell innovative stories that showcase the complexity of the human condition.

In 2021, Boston Theater Company (BTC) took a chance and brought the world of theater and sports together by launching the Road of Rainbows (ROR) 5K. This was the first ever fully inclusive LGBTQ+ 3.1 mile race Boston. At ROR everyone is welcome! We've removed gender requirements upon sign up (a very rare thing for athletic events), worked with a dedicated group of LGBTQ+ BIPOC counselors tasked with making the event something special, and held it at the historic Boston Common, a fully accessible location! Our pilot event in 2021 was so overwhelmingly positive that we're RORing back in 2022 and holding this event on PRIDE WEEKEND!
