Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

We have 13 subsystems and we want to ensure the UX is consistent and is the most effective.

We have found the original developers were focused on what was good for them, rather than what was effective for the priject.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
  1. Project Plan- Identify goals, milestones, and set a timeline for the project
  2. Review requirements and existing designs- Familiarize themselves with the existing product to understand the requirements, design work, and feedback that already exists, and to identify gaps to be filled in the next stage.
  3. Finalize- Handoff all deliverables and findings in a package that allows for your work to be easily understood and incorporated into future projects.

  • Design Audit- audit the current user flow to identify pain points, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
  • Usability testing- summary of key findings and recommendations, or documentation of testing sessions to understand users’ experience of and interaction with your product
  • Redesign and/or redesign recommendations- design improved flows for the distinct user types. Workshop ideas and turn those into wireframes or mockups that show exactly how the solution could work
  • Prototype- once high fidelity mockups are complete, create a prototype in Figma that can be used to test and validate the designs
How will you support learners in completing the project?

[Note the text included below describes Springboard's requirements for collaboration with a design team. Feel free to add additional ways that you plan to support the team as needed]

  • Preparation of any relevant resources and assets in advance of the kick off call
  • With a regular weekly check-in call
  • Reasonably responsive throughout the collaboration to unsure progress is not blocked.
  • Allow the learners to share the work they do for us in job search materials

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

We have a design process we follow

Dataflow - Over view of the subsystem with the primary functions indented

RoadMap - what is going to be built for each of the primary functions

JIRA Agile PM System - Managing the implementation
