Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

The primary focus for the student will be:

  • Strategy - Develop a 3-5 year roadmap outlining the core business strategies and projects. Write presentations and business proposals for the partnership.
  • Operations - Review processes and recommend areas for improvement and for potential redesign with the COO; introduce quality assurance into our existing internal controls.
  • Finance - Review processes and recommend areas for improvement and for potential redesign with the COO and Controller; develop improvements to current cash management processes and controls; introduce new analytics and KPIs to manage financial performance effectively.
  • Talent - Design a new/improved staff retention and performance review process—conduct market research re: salaries and increases.
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Our goal at the end of this experience is:

  • Strategy - For the student(s) to help us design and develop a strategic roadmap for the firm's operations for the next 3-5 years.
  • Operations - For the student(s) to help us implement more efficient and effective processes that maximize employee performance.
  • Finance - For the student(s) to help us roll out better cash management processes and financial reporting to support the firm's anticipated future growth.
  • Talent - For the student(s) to help us build and maintain a solid human resources infrastructure to support our continued growth.
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will work closely with the COO, Human Resources and Financial Controller. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.

We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern using these communication tools: Microsoft Team, Microsoft office, and Telephone.
