Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Our association has access to and keepers of many papers and articles that need library and source mapping. Among these papers are resources detailing our sector's findings from, databases, research etc

We would like to collaborate with students in the data entry and record filing system.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Familiarizing themselves with our database structure.
  • Transferring data into our databases efficiently.
  • Verifying the accuracy of the data in our databases and making relevant updates.
  • Organizing and retrieving data as requested and updating new ones on our membership website.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Providing assistance in creating new databases and process mapping protocals.
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with our databases
  • Efficient data transfer
  • Verification of data accuracy
  • Organization and retrieval of data and uploading data to different virtual platforms

Bonus steps would include:

  • Assisting in creating new databases

Final deliverables should include

  • A clean a efficient data system and uploads to member website
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our research projects and databases
  • Current understanding of our field of research
  • Updating the records management system
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
