RacerX offers Computer Science students opportunity to develop a small replica of Linked In as a prototype yet customized for Motorsports.

The primary focus will be:

• RacerX eCommerce Motorsports Marketplace micro sites using AWS Serverless technologies Amplify Studio - It's Simple and Fast
• Students will conduct a quick analysis to identify how to recreate the main features of Linked In's yet specific for motorsports worldwide. The MVP prototype will create personal and business profile pages for racers, and teams on RacerX Marketplace. A global motorsports B2B marketplace similar to Amazon yet with a sole purpose to serve the motorsports industry worldwide selling high performance products not found on Amazon, eBay, etc..
• Determine which Linked In networking functions are most suitable; create a brief design proposal including screen shots as a storyboard, mock-ups, and short plan required for implementing a prototype Linked In style solution called RaceLink for RacerX Markeplace .
• Research, Review and Recommend solutions that can be integrated and customized to operate on AWS Cloud serverless platform.
• Software Architecture - Some of this may involve improving the functionality of Linked In's existing site and API integrations of one system thru another using AWS API Gateway in Amplify Studio.
• Research, Review and Recommend tools, problem solving techniques, intelligent search, and knowledge representation.
• We seek to create a global network of motorsports industry personnel.
• Application Programming Interfaces - Use API's to simplify use of 3rd party data.

Our goal at the end of this experience is:

• Application Development -For student(s) to get valuable hands on experience creating a prototype MVP application using the most desired cloud technologies - AWS Cloud and Serverless
• Software Architecture Development - For student(s) to learn AWS Well Architected to ensure optimal performance and sustainability as we create unique solutions to market motorsports racers and teams worldwide.

Other duties the student may complete could include:

• Software research, evaluation, integration, customization development.
• Assisting with site process improvement projects
• Unit and integration testing
• LANGUAGES: Java, Python, MYSQL - .NET, AWS Cloud solutions - Amplify Studio
  

We communicate with virtual teams using - MS Teams, Zoom, Whats app group messaging, email.

Students will interact directly with CEO JimmyMac and have weekly or bi-weekly MS Teams or Zoom recorded meetings. plus email.

Students receive direct and indirect training from AWS Gurus teaching AWS serverless tools. The most sought after skills by employers today.
