PROJECT DESCRIPTION

1. Why is the company in need of this project?

We’re in need of this project because our current sales processes need to be reviewed, optimized, and automated by people who are experienced in connecting with people on a deep level because it’s important for us to maintain our personalities through automated processes. It sounds like the people involved in this program are great at creating connections and have experience in sales processes.

2. What are the prerequisites of the project (data gathering, other projects)?

The prerequisites of the project include experience with developing sales processes for B2B or B2C industries. We currently lack automation in our funnel, so automation experience would also be helpful, particularly experience with Zapier. Other prior experience could include: lead collection, outbound marketing research, email campaigns, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Shopify, grant research and writing, onboarding method.

3. Who, inside the company, needs to be involved with the project?

Our sales manager (Andrew) and operations lead (Rochelle) will be involved in the project.

4. What specifically is the company looking to have the participants do?

We’re specifically looking for the participants to audit our sales process, specifically the marketing/sales channels, target markets, and sales funnel. Our current sales process is obsolete because it was based on our first MVP product, where we used to approach business clients in-person, manually input leads, and send different personalized emails to each lead regardless of their interest level. The process is very time consuming and we need to automate the processes asap because we are bottlenecking our funnel midway.

When are the students doing it?

This project is flexible timewise and can be done on each student’s schedule.

Please note appropriate projects can accommodate most students, regardless of field of study or experience. We may not be able to fill these skills set exactly.

It would be considered an asset for the students to have some previous experience in a sales related position or in process automation.

FINAL PROJECT DELIVERABLES

What results are you expecting from this project?

We’re expecting that this project will help us improve and automate our sales process. As one of our core values is to create meaningful connections, we hope that improving the automation will allow the team to stay connected with leads, new customers and existing customers throughout the customer journey.

During the final meeting, are you comfortable with the students making a final presentation in powerpoint and writing a final report on PDF?

Yes, that would be great.

What is the maximum number of students your project could accommodate?

We are able to accommodate as many students as you’d like because we can easily assign our different markets & customer profiles to different people (up to a reasonable amount).

How will you support learners in completing the project?

We'll meet with the team to introduce them to our tech stack and any relevant tools that they may require. Daily or weekly support will be provided from our sales manager (Andrew) and operations lead (Rochelle).
