The main goal of this project is to develop well-defined procedures, manuals, and templates for Movement Centre of Manitoba Inc.’s therapeutic clinic, which will contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of care to their clients, taking into account the unique service they provide. The procedures, manuals, and templates will help ensure consistency of care and quality improvement in the changing industry; provide streamlined clinical workflows; provide clear steps and guidelines for efficiency and clarity; better allocate resources such as time, equipment, and supplies; improve communication protocols within the care team and between clients and providers; consistent data collection and analysis for client outcomes; and ensure legal documentation is up to date.


Deliverables

The tasks learners will need to complete to achieve the project goal include:


- Researching and understanding the unique service provided by Movement Centre of Manitoba Inc.


- Developing procedures, manuals, and templates for the therapeutic clinic.


- Ensuring the procedures, manuals, and templates are tailored to the unique service provided by Movement Centre of Manitoba Inc.


- Ensuring the procedures, manuals, and templates are consistent with industry standards and regulations.


- Ensuring the procedures, manuals, and templates are designed to improve communication protocols within the care team and between clients and providers.


- Ensuring the procedures, manuals, and templates are designed to improve data collection and analysis for client outcomes.


- Ensuring the procedures, manuals, and templates are designed to better allocate resources such as time, equipment, and supplies.


- Testing the developed procedures, manuals, and templates.


Mentorship

The Movement Centre will ensure learners have access to necessary resources and tools. We will provide at least one staff member who will be available for regular feedback and guidance, and opportunities to communicate with other staff members should the learners need. Ongoing support and regular check-ins will be offered.

The Movement Centre is committed to serving Manitobans living with neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, acquired brain injury, developmental delays, spina bifida and Parkinson’s disease.
