Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

The field of Property Management is complex, and traditionally is a very "paper" heavy industry with contracts, leases, condition reports and other manual types of documents.

Since COVID, our company went to a remote employee model, with many team members in different locations and even, different countries.


We require students or a team of students to analyze several of our current software platforms. Once analyzed, reports can be generated that gives Senior Management data that will indicate the overall accuracy of the information being recorded into these platforms. There will also be an opportunity to modify any errors detected, which will then improve the record keeping and efficiency of our internal training and data processes.


The scope of this project will entail:

  • At the Project Coordinator's direction, students will systematically analyze targeted data platforms
  • Students will record the errors they find in a spreadsheet format which will eventually be converted into a final report
  • Students will track overall accuracy with the end goal of being able to calculate a percentage of overall accuracy for record keeping
  • If time permits, there will be other projects and platforms that may need further analytics
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

This is a great learning opportunity for a students to work remotely with a larger company that has multiple platforms in its technology stack. Students will also have regular meetings with different department leads, allowing them to improve on their business communication skills. They will then be able to add this experience on to their resume, as well as learning critical analysis in reading important documents, in addition to adhering to privacy principles.


By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

  • Familiarize themselves with digital and paperless office models
  • Familiarize themselves with the property management software and basic operation (training and training videos provided)
  • Examine critical documents, confirm accuracy of different types of documents, to match a criteria as defined by Senior Management and/or Department Leads.
  • Produce accurate reports outlining the analytics and performance of the various departments.


How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will work directly with our Training Manager and Quality Assurance Department. There will be weekly check-in meetings, in addition to Zoom Q&A sessions.
