The main goal for the project is to organize and execute a successful fundraising campaign for SOKAFEST, which is an event organized by FESTIBEC AFRO-BLACK WEB TV to celebrate the afro-black community and raise funds for their initiatives. The campaign should aim to raise a specific amount of funds to support the event and the organization's mission.


This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


- Researching successful fundraising campaign strategies and tactics.


- Developing a comprehensive fundraising plan, including setting specific fundraising goals, identifying target donors, and creating a timeline for the campaign.


- Creating promotional materials and content for the campaign, such as social media posts, email newsletters, and fundraising events.


- Implementing the campaign plan and actively engaging with potential donors and supporters.


- Tracking and analyzing the campaign's progress and making adjustments as needed to reach the fundraising goals.


- Reporting on the campaign's outcomes and impact, including the amount of funds raised and the overall success of the campaign.


Deliverables


By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:


- A comprehensive fundraising plan outlining specific goals, target donors, and a timeline for the campaign.


- Promotional materials and content for the campaign, including social media posts, email newsletters, and event plans.


- Implementation of the campaign plan and active engagement with potential donors and supporters.


- Analysis and tracking of the campaign's progress, including adjustments made to reach fundraising goals.


- A final report detailing the outcomes and impact of the campaign, including the amount of funds raised and the overall success of the campaign.



Final deliverables:


- A final report outlining the fundraising plan, implementation strategies, and campaign outcomes.


- A presentation summarizing the campaign's progress, outcomes, and impact for stakeholders and supporters.

Mentorship

students will be assisted to get staff time, access to tools and technology as well as access to data so that the work can be done properly
