The main goal of this project is to help expand upon the business plan and funding strategy for creating a non profit laundromat and showers in the remote community of Squamish. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Researching and understanding the current needs of the community and the current services offered by The Spot Laundromat.
- Developing a comprehensive business plan for the non-profit arm of The Spot Laundromat.
- Identifying potential sources of funding and creating a strategy for applying for grants and other sources of funding. (this will supplied by another group)
- Creating a budget for the project and identifying potential areas for cost savings.
- Developing a marketing and outreach plan to promote the project and increase awareness of the services offered.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
