- What is the main goal for this project?

The Event Assistant will work directly with the CEO and Founder Sharon Bonner as the company pivots to coordinating hybrid and live events. The intern will work with Sharon to plan the events and be directly supervised by Sharon.
In addition, Sharon is starting her own consulting business and the intern will be working with her to develop this website and business offering. The intern will be working to develop a marketing strategy and plan.
Sharon has published an ebook called Donuts in the Lunchroom, https://www.brightideasevents.com/donuts-in-the-lunchroom-3/ so marketing and promotion will be developed for this as well.
She also started an industry related Greeting Card Company www.caringconnections.com and is looking to develop marketing and branding initiatives for it's launch in the Fall of 2021.

- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

- How will you support learners in completing the project?

Sharon Bonner will be personally supervising the student herself. She will be setting out the anticipated workload for the deliverables with deadlines, and monitoring the success of each student.
Once a week the student and Sharon will meet via Zoom and review the students accomplishments.
There will be a variety of tasks to complete, so the internship will be interesting with lots of different tasks to learn and experience.
At the end of the internship, Sharon will provide a letter of reference if she feels the intern has done a good job.
There is also the high probability of being hired by Bright Ideas, either part time or full time. After completing your internship, you will be encouraged to apply for any job openings that are available.
