Propeller is offering a virtual internship opportunity to one (1) student to get hands-on experience creating new actions and engaging content for our over 600,000 users as well as managing our social media channels.

The primary areas of focus for the student (or team) will be:

  • Partner Content Creation - Build and maintain actions on the platform on behalf of Propeller’s over 100 nonprofit partners; create actions directly for Propeller campaigns.
  • Strategic Social Media Marketing - Conduct an audit of our social media presence; develop and implement strategies for improving our online presence and increasing overall engagement across those channels that includes a consistent tone and messaging that reinforces our company’s mission; manage our organizational content calendar and promotion schedule across social media, email, SMS, and the website; create and post social media content.
  • Social Media Community Management - Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner; monitor and report on feedback.
  • Supporter Journey & Automated Marketing - Ensure a consistent user experience and create/maintain multiple supporter journeys based on behavior leveraging email, social media, and SMS using Drip (our CRM).

Our goal at the end of this experience is:

For the student (or team) to help us improve the quality and relevancy of the nonprofit partner content we promote on the site and across our other channels. As well as to increase the overall following and impact of our social media presence while ensuring coordination across channels. We want our community to feel a deeper connection to our mission and to tailor each user’s experience to their personal interests as much as possible. It’s all about increasing the impact of our community.

Other duties the student may complete could include:

  • Assist the Customer Experience Manager with inquiries and requests from users.
  • Help with nonprofit partner outreach and coordination.

We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern using these communication tools:

The student will be provided with a Propeller G Suite account that will include an email address (Gmail) and access to shared files (Drive). They will also be added to our Asana account (task management) as well as our company Slack channel. Internal and external meetings are conducted via Zoom.

Student's primary contact: Ben Kroetz, Director of Campaigns & Operations
