- What is the main goal for this project?

Launch an AI Chatbot using VoiceFlow to support customers visiting our e-commerce store.
We sell equipment for walking multiple dogs. There are many components that are modular and can be configured in different ways to improve the experience of handling dogs on leash. Our product line is not a simple one, and making a first-time purchase requires significant guidance. We hope to reduce the burden of customer inquiries on administration and increase customer satisfaction with a robust chat bot.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

The project will take shape through 5 roles:
- Voice Flow Editor - This intern will design the script for the Chat Bot. This student will act as team lead: A) they will be the only student with editor capabilities in Voice Flow, B) they will call upon the other roles for support and documents, and C) they will help the team understand the nature of the software and how to optimize the resources we put into it. They will research best practices and present their findings to the team, as well as act as a reader, tester and editor throughout the project.
- Knowledge Base Editor - This intern will structure the Knowledge Bases for VoiceFlow. “Knowledge Bases” are text documents we load into the flow to inform the AI Chat Bot. The editor will lead the conversation around what knowledge bases we need and how to optimize the content to best inform the chat bot. They will act as a reader, tester and editor throughout the project.
- Knowledge Base Writer #1 - This intern will draw from company documents to write the various knowledge bases needed to inform the chat bot. They will act as a tester throughout the project.
- Knowledge Base Writer # 2 - Same as above.
- AI Prompt Specialist - This intern will coach everyone on the team on how to optimize the prompts and knowledge bases to maximize the chat bot’s responses. They will research best practices and present their findings to the team, as well as act as a reader, tester and editor throughout the project.

- How will you support learners in completing the project?

This is a crucial project for the company, so the business owner will be readily available for regular virtual meetings and guidance via email or telephone. We are passionate not only about the delivery of the final project, but also the process of interns applying their degree-related skills, building upon their critical thinking, and co-creating the Chat Bot with interns who have different but complementary skills and talents. We hope this project results in synergy!
Together we will utilize support from VoiceFlow to work through any technical challenges we face.
The team of 5 interns is designed to be a supportive network all on its own, as each role depends upon the other. It is our goal that leadership, communication, and efficiency are qualities that emerge from this project.
Lastly, all documents will be stored, accessed and organized in a Google Drive folder.
