Despite the large and almost global presence of Decathlon in the world, we have not yet been able to succeed in North America. The success of our two first stores in Montreal is encouraging and pushes us to believe Torontonians will become soon big fans of Decathlon.

However, we know that we will face multiple challenges at the beginning and we have to deeply analyse the customers habits, needs and expectations.

The scope of the project can be as large as you want, covering

- Our entry on the market,

- The selection of our future branch locations,

- How to address the ecommerce market and which delivery solutions to choose,

- How to move from a omnichanel company to a platform business model.

- How to recruite promising talents and build employer's branding

- How to build brand awarness in the GTA

Finally, our products range on North American sports is definitely not strong enough to compete with the leaders in Canada. We will have to decide the best way to address this challenge.

As you can understand, Decathlon is looking at the best ways to succeed in Toronto, at a very early stage of the project in a glocal mindset (all the power of an international company but with 95% of local autonomy).
