What is the main goal for this project?

Celeb Secrets is looking for multiple wizards to help create, edit and produce original video content for our website and social media handles! This team will lead the production strategy for all of the video content that will be shared on Celeb Secrets' platforms, as they will assist with pitching ideas and editing content for both short and long-form celebrity interviews. We are looking for candidates who are obsessed with all-things pop culture, music, movies, TV, and social media and have an eye for engaging content that fits our demographic that helps increase viewership. You are creative, detail-obsessed, and comfortable balancing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You also have an intimate understanding of Internet culture for Millennial and Gen Z consumers.

Positions available: 5 (teams or individual)

As a Content Creator - Video Production, your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping pitch out-of-the-box ideas for short and long-form on-camera content
  • Gathering and designing content/assets for short and long-form on-camera content
  • Assisting with editing short and long-form on-camera content. Tasks may include condensing videos, applying assets to final cuts and beyond
  • Working with other producers, hosts, social media director(s) and designers to ensure content is informative, appealing and being posted on appropriate platforms.

The best candidates should have the following qualities:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and creative thinkers
  • Strong communication and writing skills; able to speak the language of our audience
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines (when applicable), on a team, and receive constructive criticism to help better your craft. This is a learning process and we want to make sure you are fully prepared for the real world!
  • Forward-thinking; stays on top of the latest cultural and digital trends
  • Obsessed with all-things pop culture, movies, TV, music, and Internet (i.e. social media celebs)
  • Basic understanding of creative platforms like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign, Canva, and Apple Keynote, among others
  • MUST have a strong understanding of how to use video editing softwares like Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, iMovie, among others
  • Familiarity with Celeb Secrets brands' platforms and social media accounts
  • Curiosity for innovative products/platforms and willingness to implement creative ideas
  • Be available during normal work hours and willing to work evenings and weekends when needed
  • Previous related work experience is encouraged. This is a great "Level 2" project if you have previously worked on "Junior Graphic Designer" with us.
  • This project is apart of Riipen's LevelUP Program and the candidate will receive a stipend at the completion of 80 hours.

This is a great project for students looking to build a portfolio and prove their digital marketing expertise to future employers, as the impact of their work on this project can be easily measured and communicated. Please send your resume and work samples in your request.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will be working remotely on the project for 80 hours. They will be required to participate in meetings and conference calls via Google Meet or Zoom and they will report to admin directors and CEO. There will be a training process and the student will be in contact with their director and CEO on a daily basis, as they will be available to answer any questions and guide them through the project.
