Most organizations fail to realize their full potential or follow through on their strategic plans. According to the Brightline Institute, 90% of senior executives report that their organizations fails to reach all of their strategic goals. 20% of strategic initiatives fail due to poor implementation.
We believe that this is because teams are not provided opportunities to gain new business knowledge, find their role in making the strategy a success, discuss uncertainties, uncover new possibilities and build new habits.
We are developing a new program, Strategy Activation, to support small- and mid-sized businesses increase their strategic success, one conversation at a time. It is a program designed to introduce new business concepts to teams and facilitate the application of that concept within the context of their organization.
We are seeking one student to assist with writing modules and facilitation guides.
Phase I: Discovery
- Work with the consultant to learn the objectives of the program and outcomes for the client.
- Brainstorm module/conversation content relating two the two Strategy Activation themes: Driving Revenue and Driving Profitability (much of this has been done already)
- Research key business concepts relating to the conversations.
Phase II: Module Development
- Distill those concepts into a short, 2-page training module, based on a pre-defined template. Total of approximately 16 - 20 conversations.
- Assist with developing facilitator notes for each training module.
*Client will provide feedback throughout each phase.
Deliverables:
- 16 - 20 modules (2-3 pages each); the number may be revised depending on how many the student is able to do
- 16 - 20 facilitator notes (2-3 pages each), one for each module
This will be a two-way partnership, supporting each other for accountability to meet development deadlines and for an open exchange of ideas.
The student will be supported with regular meetings and responsive feedback.
Having been a co-op student previously, the project lead recognizes the importance of mentorship and ongoing coaching and is willing to provide insight into Omni's consulting practice.
We wish to be respectful of students other commitments while also encouraging their professional development.
