Project scope
- What is the main goal for this project?
-
SafePlace International has new brand and visual identity guidelines, and we need help utilizing them! The goal of this project is to create graphic design and digital marketing templates and assets for web, social media, and print use. The files should be in Canva and easy to use for long-term volunteers to carry the work forward. We would also love to have a training guide on how to use and adapt the templates for variety and to accommodate content as needed.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
-
Project activities include:
- Getting to know SafePlace International's brand guidelines.
- Designing and presenting thumbnails for design assets (banners, infographics, social media templates, brochures, etc) based on the branding guide to be presented to the executive team.
- Executing the full designs for each branding asset using Canva based on the approved thumbnails.
- For social media assets, creating a library of templates to be used and adapted, pre-filled with quotes and language from the brand language guide and provided by project managers.
- Developing a training guide on how to use and adapt the templates for variety and to accommodate content as needed.

SafePlace International is a 501c3 organization focused on amplifying the voices of marginalized communities to build a world that’s safer, more inclusive, and filled with joy. We work with global and local partners to provide a foundation of safety and stability for LGBTQI+ forcibly displaced persons through access to safe housing, food, supplies, and critical information. The Dream Academy, our 10-week intensive virtual course led by members of the forcibly displaced LGBTQI+ community, paves the way for healing and growth with a holistic curriculum that equips leaders with the tools, capabilities, and relationships they need to assume roles of power and influence in their institutions and communities.
