Details

Feminine Intelligence Agency (FIA) is dedicated to helping marginalized communities recognize and resist covert manipulation and social control—whether in personal relationships, workplaces, or society at large. Using behavioral research, AI-powered tools, and immersive education, FIA trains women and marginalized people to navigate power dynamics, spot coercion before it escalates, and handle microaggressions effectively.

One of our boldest initiatives is a decentralized puppet campaign, a satirical media project that uses humor and storytelling to expose manipulation tactics in politics, media, and everyday interactions. The goal is to make power plays visible, relatable, and widely shareable while engaging audiences in critical thinking.

Project Goals for FIU Students

Students will collaborate with FIA to design and refine the digital presence of the puppet campaign, ensuring it effectively engages audiences while fostering awareness of microaggressions, social manipulation, and democratic participation. This project is highly flexible—students can either develop a campaign strategy or actively produce digital content, depending on their strengths and interests.

Deliverables

Potential Deliverables (Adaptable to Student Interests)

1. Digital Strategy & Social Media Plan

  • Design a social media campaign that maximizes engagement across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Develop a posting schedule that integrates with real-world political and social events.
  • Research trending hashtags, SEO best practices, and meme culture to ensure maximum reach.
  • Create branding guidelines and messaging strategy to make FIA’s content both humorous and educational.

2. Digital Content Creation

  • Satirical Video Scripts & Storyboards – Write and storyboard skits that illustrate microaggressions, gaslighting, workplace politics, and social power plays.
  • Meme & GIF Creation – Develop short-form content that makes manipulation tactics easy to recognize and share.
  • Motion Graphics & Animation – Create eye-catching visuals that introduce key concepts like social discernment, covert aggression, and democratic values.

3. Community Engagement & Decentralized Storytelling

  • Explore ways to crowdsource content from diverse creators (e.g., a “puppet toolkit” for content creators to join the movement).
  • Develop a collaborative engagement strategy to get activists, comedians, and digital storytellers involved.
  • Build a plan for integrating user-generated content into FIA’s campaign.

Key Learning Outcomes for Students

  • Apply design thinking to develop a strategic communication campaign with a real-world social impact.
  • Gain experience in satirical media production, using humor to tackle serious social issues.
  • Learn how digital activism, branding, and social media marketing intersect to drive engagement and shape narratives.
  • Understand how psychology, sociology, and media studies inform content strategy and audience perception.
  • Explore non-traditional storytelling methods that blend satire, politics, and cultural critique.

Why This Matters: A Pro-Democracy, Pro-Discernment Campaign

FIA recognizes that marginalized people, including women and people of color, often experience subtle but insidious forms of social control—from microaggressions in the workplace to coercive persuasion in relationships. Many traditional empowerment programs focus on self-esteem, but FIA trains people to see and respond to manipulation at its roots. This project creates an accessible and engaging way to spread these skills without turning into another self-help lecture.

While the campaign does not take overt political stances, it is inherently pro-democracy, encouraging people to question authority, recognize propaganda, and engage critically with media.
