What is the main goal for this project?

These students are registered nurses who are in a bachelor degree completion program who are eager to apply the steps of learning to identify a clinical problem and how to utilize the

appropriate data and research to find a better solution.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Registered nurses in a bachelor degree completion program:

1) Ask a clinical question: Identifying a problem or concern: patient-centered care, professional communication, teamwork and collaboration, evidence-based practice, informatics, systems-thinking and improvement, or error reduction, human factors theory and safety.

2) Search the Literature: Critically reviewing published research studies related to the identified problem.

4) Critically appraise the evidence: Evaluating the findings for clinical relevance,

scientific merit, and implementation potential.

5) Implement and Evaluate: Proposing new guidelines, procedures or protocols to address the problem and discuss an evaluation plan.
