Details

We wish to collaborate with students on an applied research project developing a proof of concept prototype for using AI and NLP techniques to procedurally generate videogame quest content from a knowledge base.

Students should be prepared to:

  • identify and test a variety of webapis and local sdks for language translation, text synthesis and NLP
  • Develop a solution for generating dialog and narratives that meet learning and gameplay objectives of a pre-existing videogame story
  • integrating software solutions into an existing game project for testing and proof of concept
  • Generate a in-game content that meets learning objectives or other constraints
  • Create a report that provides an in-depth overview into the solution.

A few areas of specific interest for us include:

  • web based language tools like ChatGDP or other AI solutions
  • NLP technologies
  • text translation technologies
  • deep fake machine learning algorithms
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should submit a final report (along with any source materials such as code, workbooks, etc) that demonstrates:

  • Understanding of the available datasets, and API available for commercial use
  • The nature of the problem being solved
  • Methodologies and approaches
  • Outcomes and results
  • Recommended next steps for our organization

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Providing multiple versions of any
  • Providing source code in a proper software development environment as applicable
Mentorship

Students will receive direct contact time with our engineering staff for product and process feedback.
