- What is the main goal for this project?

VIBE Arts is a charity that provides free arts education programming and creative mentorship to equity-deserving groups across Ontario. The main goal for the project is to build a new webpage to promote and highlight the impact and reach of VIBE Arts' mentorship programming. This will involve creating a visually appealing and informative webpage that effectively communicates the organization's mentorship initiatives and their positive outcomes.
In addition to the development of a webpage, we would like to enlist learners to conduct an accessibility audit of our website.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Project Activities:
Webpage Development
- Researching and gathering information about VIBE Arts' mentorship programming, including success stories, testimonials, and program details
- Designing and developing the webpage layout, ensuring it is user-friendly and visually engaging
- Creating content for the webpage, including text, images, and multimedia elements to effectively showcase the impact and reach of the mentorship programming
- Implementing features that allow visitors to easily navigate the webpage and access relevant information about the mentorship initiatives
- Testing the webpage for functionality and responsiveness across different devices and browsers
- Making any necessary revisions based on feedback and finalizing the webpage for launch
Website Accessibility Audit:
- Conducting background research on disabilities and methods of evaluating accessibility for web
- Conducting accessibility tests across the website
- Analyzing and reporting the metrics / results of the tests
Final deliverables:
- A fully functional and visually appealing webpage that effectively promotes and highlights VIBE Arts' mentorship programming
- All source materials, including content, images, and multimedia elements used in the webpage
- Documentation outlining the design process, features, and functionality of the webpage
- Recommendations of accessibility improvements for our website
By the end of the project, learners should demonstrate:
- Understanding of web development and effective UX/UI
- Understanding of different disabilities and factors that affect a website’s accessibility
- Understanding of our accessibility testing procedure
- Analysis of accessibility testing results
