Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

The primary outcome of this project will be to outline a design for Neuraura’s database of clinical and population-based data. This will take into account the principles of strong data management (e.g., governance, quality, accessibility), relevant data and privacy standards (e.g., HIPPA, PIPEDA) along with opportunities to leverage data sets for internal (e.g., regulatory) and external commercialization opportunities.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

· Understand organizational strategy and identify data requirements.

· Identify other potential commercial opportunities not yet captured within organizational strategy.

· Define key data sets and data relationships to support the achievement of goals.

· Review briefing information on principles of strong data management and specific data and privacy standards; supplement with secondary research as required.

· Develop framework / design for clinical and population-based data.

· Synthesize and summarize key findings in final report.

Final deliverables should include:

· Design of database

· Final report summarizing research and key findings / recommendations.

· Short presentation to senior leadership team

How will you support learners in completing the project?

· The student will be provided with background information on the company’s strategy, planned scope of clinical studies and briefing information on data privacy standards

· The student will meet on a weekly basis with the project sponsor throughout the project
