Clarity – Students complete assignments in concise and direct prose. Structure – Students are able to implement a variety of basic business writing document forms. Research – Students develop reports that reflect research into key business practices. Audience – Students focus on how to identify and respond to diverse audiences. Tone – Students use appropriate tone to communicate positive, negative, and persuasive messages. Projects can be tailored to suit your business's needs and multiple student teams will work on each project component, providing several complete solutions from which you may choose to implement in your business. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience: "Written Business Communication" is designed to first acquaint students with the basics of business writing. It then offer opportunities for practice, collaboration, and feedback on writing through weekly assignments, collaborative work on key topics, and ultimately a portfolio that demonstrates progress over the semester. Both minor and major assignments can be tailored to suit your business's needs. Multiple teams of students will work on each aspect of your writing projects to provide several complete options for each request. The course instructor facilitates communication between your business and student teams to optimize the outcomes of the accelerated, eight-week duration.
