The goal of the marketing research is to explore the role of research in marketing decision making, the development of research questions, choosing research designs to obtain the necessary information, and interpretation of research results are discussed. The emphasis is placed on the nature and scope of marketing research methods, the development and assessment of measures, the steps and principles involved in gathering and analyzing data, and interpretation of the research results to help in marketing decisions. The students are expected to conduct and evaluate different stages of a marketing research project.My objective with this project is to give each student “hands-on experience” working on a marketing research problem from your company. Student-consultants will analyze city data sets (normally available through open city portals, etc.) through state-of-the-art Machine Learning and Data Mining technologies, to: identify trends, and/or create predictive models. Their models are used to create solutions for infrastructure sectors (transportation, building, energy, urban water/drainage, etc.) which can be deployed using digitalization in smart cities.

Virtual Internship Opportunity: Bring on one or more students from the Department of Applied Human Sciences at Concordia University to be your virtual interns, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students are available for 150-200 hours of placement by April 10, 2022. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will only occur virtually. The internships are a non-remunerated learning experience for which the students will receive credit. The Student Intern will develop and implement a project that requires them to gain an understanding of the organization's functions and will result in positive change for the system. This process will include a needs assessment(s) and the design, implementation, an evaluation of a training program and/or process facilitation of strategic objectives.

Students must demonstrate their ability to conduct a complete intervention to effect change in a human system / organization as the principal consultant in a collaborative relationship with a client representing that system. The project includes contracting with the client, gathering and analyzing data, implementing relevant intervention activities, and evaluating the intervention as well as their role.

Teams of 3 to 5 students will conduct virtual research at your institution to identify opportunities to enhance the presence of Indigenous knowledge systems and practices within your public engagement programs (e.g. thematic displays, interpretative materials, website design/presentation, curricula). Students will be allocated 12 hours to this project, and produce a report with proposed strategies to augment Indigenous visibility at your institution.Project context: In view of the recent acknowledgment of the colonial roots of Canadian institutions, many are engaging with the development of measures that facilitate the integration of Indigenous Peoples' invaluable systems of knowledge and practice. Given this colonial legacy, natural science/history museums, botanical gardens, and zoos are called to rethink and possibly re-frame their public engagement and pedagogical orientations to include and/or enhance Indigenous content. This project offers timely resources toward these ends.

This class is dedicated to course-based masters of aerospace engineering students. They have completed undergraduate degrees in engineering and are at least two semesters in to their masters program.

Does your organization have a physics-related industrial problem? Our students are excited to help your industry look for solutions via computer modelling and literature reviews of the underlying physics associated with your problem.Our students are 3rd and 4th years doing projects in our newly revamped Computational Physics course. This is a 1 semester course where students work on individual projects to develop their skills in computational physics. We are particularly looking focusing on projects involving computer modelling, simulation or data analysis. Students would generally work in small groups consulting regularly with members of your team.

In this course, students learn the principles and techniques of clear, concise and effective written, oral, art and design (packaging and labelling), as well as technology concerns as it impacts on external communication in the profit and non-profit sectors. Most importantly, our students can review your company's best practices-- whether you are a young start-up, a small family owned business or a medium-sized company to see if you can do better to communicate to the external world in a global economy. In effect, our students can help your organization increase its market reach by reviewing your company's external communication.

Does your organization have a community development-related project or organizational need for which you would like to receive support from talented students in order to achieve the desired results?In this course, 4th year students, working in team of 4, will help your organization identify community structures and inter‑group dynamics relevant to your organization’s intervention planning, gather and organize data, develop intervention plans that involve the community each step of the way and that foster leadership within its ranks, as well as evaluate said intervention.Attention will be given to cultural diversity and value differences.

Beginning this February, student-consultants, working in groups of 4 to 6, will dedicate 25 hours each analyzing organization needs, deriving measurement criteria, indicators and related data specific to your organization to determine the quality of your current product(s) or process(es), and improve their quality by proposing and documenting a custom Software Measurement Plan for your organization.Student skills include:Evaluating various software development life cycle models;Analyzing current organizational situations/needs to determine where technological solutions can resolve problems;Deriving measurement goals, the associated success criteria and indicators, and the base measures (data elements) to meet the needs of the organizationPlanning all the tasks that must be accomplished in order to collect, store, analyze & report the measurement results,Documenting the planning tasks in a Software Measurement Plan.
