Students will touch base with the organization over email, phone, or video conferencing at any point before the presentation date to gather information and make sure they understand the scope of the project. Presentations will take place on April 13th and April 20th (8-11am).

Groups of student-researchers will strategically explore a well-defined issue or opportunity in your business.

Phase 1 Project Plan: Students will meet with organization representative(s) to devise the project scope and prepare a detailed plan for completion of the project.
Phase 2 Project Execution: Students will work on deliverables outlined in the project plan. Teams will periodically communicate with organization representative(s) as needed to complete project tasks.
Phase 3 - Outcome - Report and Presentation: Up to four student-groups will submit a detailed report with actionable recommendations, based on industry best practices. Teams will also present this in the last class. Organization representative(s) are invited to attend these presentations.
Project Examples
Beginning this April, up to four groups of student teams will spend 60 hours per group researching a well-defined issue or opportunity for your organization.
Over 4-weeks, student groups will conduct research to address your issue/opportunity and then provide actionable recommendations.
Research focus may include, but is not limited to:
- Improving digital or social media strategies.
- Reaching a specific market segment.
- Increasing revenue for a product/service.
- Identifying potential partnerships.
- Identifying and cutting unnecessary costs.
- Identifying technology and digital tools to adopt.
- Reducing employee turnover, etc.
Additional company criteria
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
Provide a dedicated contact who will be available to answer student questions and concerns.
Minimum of 2-4 interactions with the students in-person or remotely (approximately 4-6 hours over the duration of the project).
Attend the final presentations on April 13th or April 20th from 8-11AM.
