This is a unique Entrepreneurship Capstone class in which students use an online platform to model a company's growth in line with the founder's vision. The project requires students to do a narrative business plan and create integrated financial statements over three years.
These documents are are exported and shared with the client. All materials are confidential.
Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with
you as needed with virtual communication tools. The professor will mentor student teams.

Projects deliverables may vary, but will include a full business plan, including financials.
Client companies must be willing to share basic financial data. Flexibility is key, and we invite partners who are open to negotiating the project scope.
Some deliverables may include:
- Excel file that contains an income statement (P&L), Cashflow Statement, and a
Balance Sheet
- Word document that is based on research and material obtained through engagement
with client company, that students will structure into a business plan
- Business Model Canvas template that is completed by students, and can be used again
as client company innovates with aspects of the business model
Project Examples
Learners in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide
actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.
Project activities that learners can complete may include, but are not limited to:
- Create a strategy for growing a company
- Conduct customer discovery interviews or surveys with prospective clients
- Demonstrate market creativity
Additional company criteria
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
Be available for a quick phone/virtual call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the experience.
Provide a dedicated contact person who is available for weekly/bi-weekly drop-ins to address learners’ questions as well as periodic messages over the duration of the project.
