Students will (individually or in teams) design online learning / training experiences following evidence-based practices.
- Conduct a needs assessment to determine client's needs and the learning objectives required to close the performance gap.
- Design online learning experiences by determining the most appropriate learning platform, technologies, format (synchronous, asynchronous, hybrid) and instructional approaches.
- Design online assessment to provide learners/instructors with feedback.
- Develop online instruction and assessment using appropriate technologies.
- Design and develop learning and assessment opportunities that are sensitive to a diverse range of learners and promote learning for all
- Deliverables

- Design and develop online instruction.
- Design and develop online assessment.
- Consider accessibility (WCAG standards) and inclusivity when designing online instruction.
Project Examples
Past students have developed online training /education for diverse fields across educational, corporate, government, and not-for-profit sectors.
Additional company criteria
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
A representative of the company will be available for a pre-selection discussion with the administrator of the course to review the project scope.
A representative of the company will be available to answer questions from students in a timely manner for the duration of the project.
