You would like to get something done over a 3-month period starting in May and ending in August (flexible), and you need a project manager to help you do it

Deliverables

Each student project manager will devote at least 80 hours to your project, specifically the student will:

  • Create a Project Charter
  • Create a Project Plan, including a Project Budget
  • Prepare Status Reports
  • Set up Project Management Tools to increase Virtual Collaboration effectiveness
Project Examples

You would like to get something done over a 3-month period starting in May and ending in August (flexible), and you need a project manager to help you do it.

Successful projects in the past have included:

  • Improve the volume and quality of a database, and how it's used
  • Social Media Marketing Campaign with content plan for a year
  • A new product launch
  • Creating an annual event or attending an upcoming one (tradeshows, conferences) 
  • Stakeholder mapping
  • Development of a new website
Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Treat PMs as entry-level contractors

Be willing to support the PMs as this may be the first time in this position, at least in the beginning until they get the ball rolling

Be available for a 1.5 hours per week for regularly scheduled meetings

Be responsive to periodic emails or phone calls to answer any questions or concerns that the student(s) may have as they progress

Complete a final evaluation for the professor
