Master's students will explore and analyze business opportunities for foreign markets. Student-consultant groups will analyze various viable expansion options and provide recommendations to your organization.

Phase 1 Project Plan: Students will meet with organization representative(s) to devise the project scope and prepare a detailed plan for completion of the project.
Phase 2 Project Execution: Students will work on the deliverables outlined in the project plan. Teams will periodically communicate with organization representative(s) as needed to complete project tasks.
Phase 3 - Outcome - Report: Groups will submit a 20-page report on the research and recommendations.
Project Examples
Starting this February, a group of four student-consultants will devote 320+ hours to working on a global entry plan and strategic analysis for your organization.
Groups will work with you in analyzing foreign markets to develop strategies for stabilization and/or growth in foreign markets, identify viable new opportunities, and a establish a process to ensure your success in launching a new product or expanding your business into a foreign market.
Students research may include, but is not limited to:
- Market entry strategies.
- Barriers, costs, and risks.
- Partnerships required to achieve your companys objectives.
- Cross-cultural competency requirements.
- Applicable domestic and international laws.
Additional company criteria
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
Meet with/have a conference call with the student team to outline project requirements.
Have bi-weekly check-ins with the student team.
If possible, meet with students for their final presentation or attend virtually.
Provide a written evaluation
Provide a dedicated contact who will be available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students questions or provide additional information.
