Deliverables

Students will submit a long form report with a detailed analysis and recommendations based on the challenge. You will receive a copy of the report as well as the final presentation.

Project Examples

In this course, EMBA and MBA students will face the business consulting industry. They will synthesize innovative consulting solutions to real challenges faced by your organization worldwide.

Students will deliver a consulting report at the end of the project, providing your organization with practical business solutions. This opportunity offers exposure to high-quality graduates and ensures real solutions for your organization. Student-consultant groups will collaborate with academics, industry experts, and best practices to create the consulting report. The projects can cover various areas like financial analysis, market research, and more.

Once projects are selected, student teams will meet with the client to discuss project scope and complete necessary forms. Client responsibilities include an initial meeting, bi-weekly updates, and attending final class presentations online.

Additional Details:

To ensure a smooth project selection process, clients are kindly requested to provide a concise written description of their company and the actual project or problem (1-2 pages) before the first weekend. This will allow students to familiarize themselves with the projects and make informed selections.

During the second weekend, we kindly request that clients make themselves available for a remote call, ideally on Saturday 5th August, from 9:30 to 10:30 (Melbourne time AEST). However, if this time is not convenient, we are more than happy to accommodate alternative arrangements. During this meeting, the client will have the opportunity to meet and brief their assigned student team. Together, they can determine the preferred mode and frequency of interaction throughout the course, while the students diligently prepare a presentation and report tailored to the client's needs.

On Saturday 7th October, students will present mock-up presentations to their classmates. Following this, they will coordinate with the client to schedule the final presentation, typically held in early to mid-October. After the final presentation, the student team will provide a comprehensive written report to the client, typically by the end of October or early November.
