The Graduate Practicum (WORK-601) is a credit-based course for our MBA students where they work for an employer as an interning practicum student for 240 hours over the course of 12 weeks. This course aims to align potential students with interested employers who are seeking talent with MBA competencies. It is expected that both parties mutually benefit in terms of development and learning.

Our students come from diverse backgrounds, and we are always looking for various opportunities including Marketing, Research, Accounting & Finance, HR, Project Management, Operations, Business Analytics, Software Development, and many other related fields. It is a great way for our students to put their theoretical knowledge to practice in the real world.

UCW will match students to positions based on the student’s competencies and the required skills identified by you as a potential employer.

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

A representative of the company will be available to answer questions from students in a timely manner for the duration of the project.

A representative of the company will be available for a pre-selection discussion with the administrator of the internship program to review the project scope.

The company is required to have a minimum of three full-time employees and should have an established business for more than one year. Do you meet this requirement?

We are looking to fill Fall term practicum positions which will start from October 3rd - December 17th, 2022. We require final confirmation no later than September 16th, 2022. Are you able to accommodate this timeline?

An employer supervisor must be assigned to the student to provide a performance evaluation of the student. Is your company willing to facilitate this?
