Milestone 1 is about setting the vision and scope of the project to be delivered. This is a key milestone where students are expected to work in a group to essentially define the product/feature scope and vision.

Milestone 2 is about employing the best practices and utilizing data to build the hypothesis, test assumptions about the feasibility of the product/feature in the market.

June 23, 2022Milestone 3: Customer Experience and User Journeys
Milestone 3 is about building user journeys and customer experience using tools like Figma. The expectation from the group is to present their research on User Journeys and prototype.

July 7, 2022Milestone 4: Complete Product Requirement Document
Milestone 4 is the final deliverable and the students are expected to present the Product Backlog and Product Requirement Document as a final deliverable of the project.

The Capstone Project is an integral part of the Certificate Course in Produce Management - it is the final 8 week long project which is designed to employ the learnings and skills gained from the first 3 courses in this Certificate Course. This is designed as a group activity, 4-6 members per group. Companies will benefit with the end deliverables which are aligned to:
- Build Product Vision, Scope and Requirements that will enable students to justify the ‘Why’ of building a product or a feature( Milestone 1, Week 1& Week 2)
- Use data for feasibility and Market Fit that will help build a case around the viability of market success on launch ( Milestone 2, Week 3 & Week 4)
- Build customer and user journeys that will help design a deliberate adoption journey by potential customers ( Milestone 3, Week 5 & Week 6)
- Build a Product Requirement Document which is an output defining product requirements/backlog to build the product ( Milestone 4, Week 7 & Week 8)

Project Examples
From May 16th to July 10th, 2022, a group of student-consultants will spend 40+ hours developing research-based recommendations to help with your product development plans.
Based on the information you provide and the research conducted, student-consultants will provide recommendations and develop an action plan with sample creative deliverables.

Additional company criteria
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
A representative of the company will be available to answer questions from students in a timely manner for the duration of the project.
A representative of the company will be available for a pre-selection discussion with the administrator of the course to review the project scope.
A representative of the company will be available during the 4 milestone reviews of the project
