Web-App For Food Expiry Date Tracker

We’ve identified a problem with food waste and how it is impacting our environment. Our city is currently grappling with an abundance of organic waste that ends up in landfills where decomposing food elevates the Greenhouse gas emissions. We have embarked on a new venture to tackle this challenge in an effort to help our city reach its 2040 net zero GHG goals while offering both consumers and businesses tools to combat food waste.In Phase 1 of this multi-phase project, learners will create a MVP of a web-app for a food expiry date reminder. This app will help household users manage their food inventory and keep track of upcoming best-before dates in order to minimize or avoid unnecessary food waste. Learners will be exposed to the app design, development and launch processes and their contributions will help us further advance project goals.
