The World Health Org. has called the lack of access to healthcare for people with disabilities "a Global Crisis." ReadyBe was created by Ilanna S. Mandel, a long-time disability rights activist, speaker, and author. She created this app for people such as herself who face ongoing barriers and challenges trying to access mainstream healthcare. We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. Ultimately, you will be working on content creation:1. An online social media campaign2. Networking to support the Indiegogo campaign3. Networking with influencers in disability culture to feature Ilanna and her team on podcasts, webinars, and other media interviews. ReadyBe is developing a ground-breaking new mHealth app to benefit persons with disabilities. This is a unique opportunity to be involved with a project which has the potential to transform the healthcare system as we know it. The app facilitates accessible, inclusive, and hospitable healthcare by enabling the user to create their personal 'accommodation profile' what they need specifically for an accessible healthcare visit or treatment.
