Project Management Office
Number of positions available: One or more teams with one or more studentsWe have a project management office. This office is responsible for coordinating and managing different projects/teams within our firm, with the potential to become a "Team Lead" responsible for the whole project management office. Within our vertical farm, we are constantly developing ourselves and our products. Exemplary projects are coding, marketing, food safety, food research. These projects have team leaders, but there needs to be cohesion between different teams/projects. This is where the projects management office steps in. You would be responsible for overseeing these projects/teams, ensuring the projects go as planned and communicating between the projects/teams. With other responsibilities like onboarding new interns, maintaining our agile project management and other project coordinators/manager responsibilities. Positions available: 5 (individually or in a team)Our organization needs the following marketing materials:Sales materials for our equipmentSales materials for our licensingSales materials for our different productsWe have a lot of the raw content, but its not "slick" and doesn't always speak to the purchasers.The project will require:Development of a brand identify beyond the logoCreating the "story" that makes the whole thing fit togetherMaterials that answer the questionsPracticallyWe need to start with a PDF brochures, because that is what our purchasers will require.We will need to add the material to our websiteWe will give you access to organizational assets to support this project such as personnel, website analytics, sales and brand collateral, and more. Grow Unit Redesign

LGS Work Experience Coordinator
Local Grown Salads is committed to Riipen. We have worked with over a dozen universities and 200 students.We work in four different ways:Project Leadership Role - These are Interns who commit a minimum of 12 weeks. full time.. Typically part of a course requirement.Assignment - The students work in a group under the direction of a Professor. The work will be in class or independent. This may be highly interactive with Local Grown Salads or just a few meetings.Part Time - These are interns who work with us a 10 or so hours a week. We will put them on teams or provide specific deliverables. Consultancy- These projects are intended to be like consulting assignments. We provide an outline of what is needed, we meet once, and then Local Grown Salads receives a report. Creating 3D Models
Local Grown Salads uses Sweet Home 3D, its Shareware 3D software.https://www.sweethome3d.com/We use the Software to design some standard for our customers.Currently we copy and paste components that are simplistic and not very realistic.Sweet Home 3D has the ability to import "Furniture" which can then be placed.We would like 3D Models of our standard components to be created.Then when we do a layout and generate some images, we will have much more realistic images.

SBIR/USDA Grants
We are a start-up looking to revolutionize agriculture by using indoor vertical farming, along with contributing to 14 out of the 17 UN SDG goals. We believe in improving the world, and therefore we are allegedly for a variety of grants. We want a student to helps us finding and applying for those grants. We have already applied and being accepted to a couple of grants. Students will be given information & help along with finding and applying for these grants. At the moment we focus on SBIR & USDA but would like to expand to different grants.

Virtual Wiki Admin
Local Grown Salads is looking to create a wiki, for internal and external use. Currently, we have a list on our project management software, JIRA, on what pages need to be written and some basic content for the pages but we are looking for an administrator to support the daily functions of the content writers e.g. providing strategy and planning support Content topics include but aren't limited to:Produce - e.g. on the wiki page for Kale, information may need to be written regarding the light needed, nutritional information, harvest yield, etc.Services LGS offersLGS Equipment and Technology Food Safety Sidenote: Each subtopic is one wiki page.
