A Wired Story
Originating from a vision, founder & CEO Brad Peters, began the ‘Wired Monk’ coffee experience in 1998. Brad and his wife developed and operated the first location in Langley, BC for over 4 years. As young and enthusiastic entrepreneurs, the ‘Wired Monk’ rapidly grew to become a household name within the Langley area. Keith Bradley joined the Wired Monk team as a partner in 2007 and now 17 years later, we continue to serve the highest quality products, providing exemplary customer service to our loyal Wired Monk Patrons.

The Experience
Take a Pacific West concept and mould it together with European flare, add a comfortable fireplace lounge area and a room of warm & inviting colors. Dress it up with original hand-painted art and combine that with exceptional products, old world roasted coffee and friendly service. The Legend of the Wired Monk
COFFEE WAS FIRST DISCOVERED MANY CENTURIES AGO IN NORTHERN AFRICA BY A HERDER WATCHING OVER HIS FLOCK.
HE NOTICED HIS SHEEP BECAME QUITE “PEPPY” AFTER EATING THE BERRIES FROM ONE PARTICULAR BUSH. CURIOUS AS TO THE EFFECTS OF THESE BERRIES HE PICKED A HANDFUL AND ATE THEM. MOMENTS LATER HE FELT REVITALIZED AND ENERGIZED.
NEWS REGARDING THE EFFECTS OF THIS “MYSTICAL” BERRY SPREAD RAPIDLY THROUGHOUT THE LAND.
WHEN THE BENEDICTINE MONKS RECEIVED WORD OF THIS AMAZING FRUIT, LARGE QUANTITIES WERE GATHERED, DRIED AND TRANSPORTED TO THE MONASTERIES. THE MONKS THEN COMBINED THE DRIED BERRIES WITH WATER AND DRANK THE RESULTING LIQUID. THIS PROVIDED THEM WITH GREATER EXHILARATION FOR LATE NIGHT PRAYER… AND THUS, THE LEGEND OF… THE WIRED MONK.
