An employer severance forecast tool that can assist employees in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta to estimate severance entitlements. Learners will design a financial tool, conduct market research, and develop a demo tutorial along with a landing page for the demonstration. One team could focus solely on designing the financial tool, while another team could work on the market research aspect. Market Research - future of entrepreneurship in Canada
Positions available: 2 students/ 1 team We want to better understand our target market and audience as well as the overall market so we can uniquely position ourselves within our industry. The research will include: Project Scope: -Build the evidence base to inform the design and delivery of sustainable economic empowerment initiatives for Canadian racialized communities in low income areas -Improve service alignment to reduce duplication and close service gaps; and -Improve community interaction with education and the private sector Research Scope -Focus on the Canadian market future industries outside technology -Entrepreneurship and the future of work in Canada -Successful Canadian entrepreneurs 15 – 30 stats and successful racialize breakdown -Where will the new jobs come from? -Number of minority youth unemployed -How Covid-19 will impact youth in low income areas? & racialized communities -Why lack of resources in low income areas - How number of employers looking for entrepreneurial skills Education -The percentage of teachers that need to be upskilled in Survey educators and community organizations Final Needs to be completed in a report form and infographics
