Sustainable Art Installation: Waste to Wonder
M Polo Designs is committed to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness through creative expression. The project aims to address the issue of waste management by transforming discarded materials into a captivating art installation. The goal is to educate and engage the public on the importance of waste diversion and sustainable practices. Learners will apply their knowledge of sustainable design and art techniques to create an installation that not only captivates but also informs. The project will involve researching sustainable art practices, sourcing waste materials, and designing an installation that conveys a strong environmental message. This project provides an opportunity for learners to explore the intersection of art and sustainability, fostering creativity while promoting ecological responsibility.
Sustainable Material Lifecycle Optimization for Design Libraries
The project aims to develop a sustainable system for managing sample materials in architecture and design firm libraries. The primary goal is to optimize the lifecycle of these materials by incorporating Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), Health Product Declarations (HPD), and third-party rating systems such as Declare label, Cradle to Cradle (C2C), LEED, and WELL building standards. Additionally, the project seeks to address the issue of surplus materials by creating a streamlined process for their collection and repurposing. This will not only alleviate congestion in design libraries but also divert materials from landfills, transforming them into art projects that enhance community engagement and outreach. By doing so, the project will provide clarity and improved usability for design professionals while promoting sustainable practices.
