Southbrook is Canada's first certified biodynamic and organic winery. We wish to create content that can be used across social networks, our website, and in the winery. Our winery focuses on sustainability - what we do must have a positive impact on our local community and the land that we farm on. We do use the land lightly - no chemical pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers; the water we use is cleaned through bio-swales and wetlands; solar panels provide our electricity... We practice regenerative agriculture - we plant indigenous grasses and flowers to increase biological matter in the soil, and make nutrients more accessible to the vines.Our challenge is communicating our commitment to the environment in the context of selling our wine. We believe that most of our existing customers support our philosophy, but to attract new customers we need not only to have great wine, but we need also to tell people about what's important to us, without sounding preachy or disingenuous.
