Market Analysis of Canadian Inland Farmed Shrimp

Novus Earth is a geothermal aquaculture company that plans to use geothermal energy and heat for agricultural production. One possible market we wish to explore is Pacific White Shrimp, and we would like a market analysis conducted to inform us of the volume and value, potential customer segments, buying patterns, and competition of the farmed shrimp market. Specifically, we would like the following questions answered: Who are our potential customers? How large is our target market (Canada and U.S)? How much are customers willing to pay for this product (specific to farmed shrimp)? Who are our main competitors (farmed shrimp)? What are our competitors’ strengths and weaknesses? Are there any roadblocks we should be aware of? By the end of this project, we would like to understand if inland farmed Pacific White Shrimp is worth investing in, which will determine if we should shift our aquaculture strategy (to salmon, for example).
