Puppy Gang Fresh Foods
Puppy Gang Fresh Foods
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Description

We have prepared healthy meals made of fresh ingredients: proteins, fruits and vegetables to give dogs the balance of nutrients they need in their diet. Each of our meals have been designed with a holistic veterinarian and nutritionist. We gently cook our meals through a steaming process to preserve the nutrients and remove the risk of bacteria. Our meals contain no preservatives, synthetic vitamins or ingredients that don't provide nutritional value for your dog. This makes our food stand out from the rest with our fresh, natural products. Our goal is that your pup is eating just as healthy as we do, and that through the right nutrition has a long, healthy and happy life with you.

Logistics & Supply Chain Project

As a freshly cooked, frozen product it is critical that our furry-friend’s meals remain frozen throughout the distribution process. Currently servicing the Greater Toronto Area, we use insulated tote bags to keep our meals frozen (lasts about 3-4 hours). As we continue to grow and expand across Canada this becomes a larger challenge. We are looking for a team of students to focus on the following: Prepare a strategy on the best and most cost effective methods for us to expand our reach from 1 location to multiple, and eventually across Canada. Distribution methods to service multiple cities (e.g. one single distribution hub, multiple etc) Cost effective methods to keep our product frozen with box/insulation suppliers Prepare a list of cold chain logistics companies that also do co-packing that we could reach out to Pricing from manufacturing through to delivery to consumer (looking at the end to end supply chain process)

Marketing Intern Opportunity (TikTok and Pinterest channels)

We are looking for interns to support us with social media advertising in specific channels that are not as commonly understood for growth. The focus of this internship is to plan a strategy, execute and evaluate its success on Pinterest and TikTok. The project will consist of: Competitor landscape: understand and evaluate competitor landscape using Pinterest and TikTok, as well as other similar brands (D2C, pets, food) and some of their strategies to grow and attract an audience. Strategic Marketing: develop and implement strategies on what our brand should be doing to increase brand awareness and sales through these channels, including specific marketing ideas, initiatives and approaches. Execution: execute on these strategies with a goal of success through both brand awareness and increase in sales arising from these mediums. Whilst Pinterest is not a new social channel, we are currently unsure of its relevance to increase sales. TikTok is still new and has a world of potential if tapped into right. We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern(s) using these communication tools: (list expected channels - eg. Riipen messaging, email, phone calls, google meets)
