Marketing Strategy - generate buzz/interest in our course offerings

We want students to help us build a marketing strategy to grow and engage our target market for a course we're offering - Authorized Court Transcriptionist. This certification will allow students to be certified as authorized court transcriptionists and work on court transcripts in Ontario. To succeed in the course, students should have a good familiarity with Word and a strong typing speed. We also currently offer a complementary course, Punctuation, and are looking to add other courses as well. We’d like to know how we can maximize different channels and what will work best for us. Our program is entirely online. Our students range from young students to retirees looking for a second career. Right now, our advertising is solely from one website for which the cost is approximately $300/yearly. The main questions we’d like students to help us answer are the following: How should we promote our course? What channels should we utilize? What budget is appropriate for advertising? What messaging should we use?
