The Sankofa Maroon Village provides opportunities for people of African descent to:
- Access affordable, sustainable housing and retreat space
- Improve mental and emotional health through connection to nature and healing services
- Learn about organic gardening and grow food to support physical health and sustainability
- Learn about and celebrate African and diasporic cultural knowledge
- Educate Black children and youth in a culturally relevant manner
- Experience community
- Earn income through the Sankofa Centre for Healing and Eco Education
