Tasks & Activities: Analyze the existing Shopify plugin codebase to understand its structure and dependencies. Refactor the code to remove Shopify-specific dependencies and rewrite it in vanilla JavaScript. Build the code as a modular JavaScript library that can be embedded into any HTML page. Ensure compatibility across modern browsers and web environments.

Build an Image Preprocessing Module for a Cloud-Based 3D Model Pipeline

Objective: The goal is to create an automated backend pipeline that takes 2D images as input and generates a 3D model as output, using tools available in Google Cloud or Azure. This will support scalable backend infrastructure for our 3D scanning solution. We will provide the cloud service access. Tasks & Activities: Research available APIs and ML tools on Google Cloud (Vertex AI, Cloud Functions, Storage) or Azure (AI Studio, Logic Apps). Decide the cloud service discussing with us and we will provide you access to that cloud service. Design a pipeline architecture that automates image preprocessing, 3D reconstruction, and storage. Implement the backend using serverless functions or containerized services. Test the pipeline with sample datasets.

Optimizing 3D Reconstruction with Gaussian Splatting

Polymuse aims to enhance its app's 3D reconstruction capabilities by implementing and optimizing Gaussian splatting algorithms. The goal of this project is to improve the rendering speed, memory efficiency, and visual quality of 3D models generated by the app . Learners will apply their knowledge of computer graphics and algorithms to integrate Gaussian splatting into the existing Polymuse system. Additionally, they will conduct a performance benchmarking study to compare this new implementation with current 3D modeling techniques. This study will focus on key metrics such as rendering speed, memory usage, and visual quality. Finally, the project involves developing a user feedback system to gather insights on the usability and effectiveness of the new feature, providing valuable data for future improvements.

Build an AI chatbot to Assist Users on their task

Objective: Design and develop a chatbot or conversational agent that can assist users in using a 3D product configurator. This agent should understand user inputs, suggest product features, and guide the configuration process. Tasks & Activities: Define key user intents and interactions relevant to 3D product configuration. Use a conversational AI platform like Dialogflow, Rasa, or Azure Bot Service. Connect the chatbot to the 3D configurator UI via API or frontend integration. Implement natural language understanding for common user requests. Test chatbot flows with real user prompts.
