Breastfeeding Challenges Data Collection and Analysis

Mama Milk is seeking to understand the challenges faced by new mothers in hospitals regarding breastfeeding as well as rates of jaundice in their babies or staying in the hospital longer or being readmitted due to jaundice, dehydration or failure to thrive. The goal of this project is to gather and analyze data on these challenges to inform future product development and support services. The project will involve designing a survey, collecting responses from new mothers and healthcare professionals, and analyzing the data to identify common issues and potential areas for improvement. This project provides an opportunity for learners to apply their knowledge of data collection, survey design, and statistical analysis in a real-world context. The tasks are closely related and can be completed by a team of learners within a single academic program, such as health sciences or data analytics.
