We connect people and organizations, foster the exchange of reliable information, and advance program and policy development on issues related to preventing the abuse of older adults. CNPEA is a virtual network, built by professionals for professionals and concerned individuals.

We aim to raise awareness of elder abuse and to increase our collective capacity to fight it through knowledge-sharing.

We provide a national perspective on issues related to ageism and abuse of older adults. Our leadership is informed by and responsive to our membership. Our individual and organizational members are leaders in aging, research, healthcare, violence prevention and response, and elder law, among others.

We work to:
- Create opportunities for stakeholders, older adults and individuals of all ages to rethink and reshape how we view and incorporate aging in our communities.
- Empower people to protect themselves and each other through practical, evidence-based, community-centered resources.
- Build a holistic approach to prevention, intervention and support across sectors and jurisdictions
