● Newsly summary: News aggregation audio mobile application. It will get the users the news daily about the topics and people they defined, from all news websites and social networks, and will read it to them through natural text to speech.

● Newsly is answering three customer problems. The first being the growing need of mobile users to consume more audio. The consumption of audio through mobile and home devices is rising. Costumers consume it while doing house chores, working out, commuting, doing recreational activities, or relaxing. Based on published data the COVID-19 situation has even increased the audio consumption (the total time of listening to podcasts and audiobooks). The second problem is the inconvenient way to consume news. Users today consume news either through non-audio platforms such as newspapers, television, digital newspapers, and some news aggregator apps, or through audio which doesn’t have personalized content such as traditional radio, and some solutions offered by the virtual assistant home devices.
Although Newsly is aimed at the general audio/news consumer, it also solve the problem of news consumption by visually impaired people. This will give a perfect fit for the people in that group.

● Products/Services: The IOS and Android mobile app will allow users to define the subject and people they follow on, and get the latest news and social updates from them, read to them while they commute, work-out, do house chores or relax.

The prototype is within 3 weeks of being finished. It will have both Android and IOS applications and will look something like that:

As you can also hear in the demo above the text-to-speech technology is now in its sweet point from becoming a nice feature to becoming the next great thing (as CGI for the film industry was 12 years ago)

We have a first prototype running python as a back-end, React Native as a frond-end, using AWS ans Polly services. We still need to Implement no-SQL database for users.
