SparkPath has already helped over 100,000 students to explore careers and gain clarity on their future, and our goal is to expand our impact to reach 1,000,000 students. To do this, we'll need to meet students where they're at: watching shorts on social media.


The goal of this project is to strengthen our social media presence by transforming long-form YouTube videos into engaging short-form content across platforms (YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok).


By leveraging AI-powered workflows and data analytics, the project will optimize content creation to more effectively connect with students navigating their career paths.


Students participating in this project will gain hands-on experience applying AI, digital marketing, and data analysis skills across the entire content creation cycle, from ideation to posting and performance evaluation. Through a data-driven and adaptable strategy, the team will develop and refine an AI-integrated approach that maximizes video impact and resonates with SparkPath’s audience of career explorers.

Deliverables

Students will complete the following tasks and deliverables to achieve the project goal:


  • Select and curate approximately 30 compelling short-form clips from 10 existing long-form YouTube videos, using Riverside.fm and other AI tools to assist with clip identification and editing.
  • Edit each short to enhance engagement by adding captions, graphics, and effects optimized for platforms like YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.
  • Write descriptions for each short, ensuring alignment with SparkPath’s brand voice and keywords to boost discoverability.
  • Develop and document an AI-integrated content creation workflow.
  • Schedule and publish the short videos across platforms.
  • Analyze video performance data across platforms, identifying trends and insights related to engagement, reach, and audience response.
  • Prepare a report summarizing the results, including recommendations for optimizing future short-form content based on data analytics.
  • Present a final content strategy recommendation that incorporates lessons learned, best practices, and suggestions for improving the approach moving forward.
