We need help defining launch, branding, localization, outreach and promotion strategies for existing (Japan and S. Korea) and new (China) markets.
We are currently localized to German, French, Japanese and Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, and Italian, but not yet Chinese. The US provides almost 50% of our revenue. Japan's music and app purchases are equal to the US, the culture is an effluent, musical and technical, yet revenue from Japan is disproportionally small, even though downloads are high.
Anytune is a music player for professional and recreational singers, dancers and musicians, including teachers, students and performers to learn and transcribe songs by ear, transcribe, practice and perform. Anytune is available on iPhone/iPad and Mac global and localized in Anytune (Free), Anytune Pro+, Anytune Mac across. We are developing for Android presently. Does Anytune resonate in these markets?
Anytune has been downloaded over 1.6M times with an average of 500 daily downloads. Anytune Pro+ has over 8,800 ratings with an average of 4.8/5.0 stars.We have had great organic media coverage from music blogs, review sites, radio and television including the Globe and Mail and were named TUAW Editors' Choice Award for 2013:Best Mac Music App and Worship Leader Magazine’s 2016 Editors’s Pick.
We foster word of mouth advertising through user advocates and partner with influencers with large audiences including artists, music blog and review sites, music schools, and vloggers Anytune has its own in-app ad service and promo code capabilities. We spend little money on marketing in favour partnerships and guerrilla methods.

We need to validate the markets in East Asia, identify required localizations for the app and determine effective marketing and promotion strategies in these countries, if analysis indicates potential. Each country is very different will be different projects. We believe the Japanese market is the most ripe and the Chinese market is the biggest unknown.
Selling apps is a very complex and competitive endeavour with millions of apps in many app stores competing for the global population. There is a lot of data and tools available.
